Had a great experience all around! Needed to get a root canal and then had two follow up appointments to correct my bite and sort things out. Scheduling was a breeze. They took care of coordinating with my insurance and I just paid my portion. Dr. Polk was professional and super gentle. Hellen, his assistant, was kind and reassuring and the absolute best! The team at Los Alamitos was fantastic. The front office staff was warm and welcoming from my intake calls to the morning I walked in. Janet, the dental assistant was kind and communicated every part of her assessment to me. Dr. Livingood was extremely thorough and informative. I did not end up needing the root canal I anticipated. He provided me evidence-based information in a way that was easy to digest and provided different treatment options. All I can say is they are AWESOME. The office staff are the nicest group of people you have ever met and Dr. Livingood is incredible, his assistant Janet amazing. Once you get into that chair after meeting the office personnel, Janet, and then Dr. Livingood you relax and know you are in the best hands possible. He is amazingly kind, thorough, explains everything to you and constantly checks to see if you are ok, as well as Janet. If you need a root canal like I did, this is the place to go. I was diagnosed by my general dentist to seek an endodontist to see if I need a root canal or not based on his assessment. I was referred to Dr. Polk from a friend because of Dr. Polk's professionalism, precision, and most importantly how careful and smooth his techniques are when conducting a root canal---most everyone's feared dental procedure. Upon assessment and based on my CT scan, he showed me my tooth's condition and whether a root canal was needed or not. He explained to me that the issue at hand doesn't require a root canal. Some basic maintenance and steps he provided was all I needed to do. Some endodontist would rather consider conducting a root canal so they can make money on a procedure a patient may not need. To date, I have no issues with that tooth. Everything is fine and healthy, so I am glad Dr. Polk provided his assessment based on what is best for me. This helped build the trust I needed with him. I've since referred several people to see Dr. Polk and they had root canals done because of the pain they felt after seeing their general dentist. They've all come out very pleased with his professionalism, and especially with how smooth and precise his procedures were done; which caused no pain and it all went by so smoothly compared to other endodontists they've seen in the past. I no longer fear this procedure knowing I have Dr. Polk there for me. Others I've referred feel the same as well. James

I'm at a loss for words to express the incredible experience we had today. Our visit was the result of a referral from my dentist, Dr. Emigh, and we entered under less-than-ideal circumstances.
